Every successful athlete faces failure at some point. It is just part of the process.
The same is also true for an artist!
In the spring 2023 the IOC put out a call for Olympian & Paralympian artists proposals for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. I submitted two ideas with sketches, descriptions, budgets, a bio and artist’s examples. Both were rejected!
I thought it important to share one of my failures and to show some of the behind the scenes process that’s involved in developing projects.
Below are five pencil sketches I drew for the 2 Paris 2024 proposals and the PDF file I submitted that describes in detail each idea.
