Quote about Bradstock and his artwork from Le Sport dans L’ Art
“Beyond the parallel between sport and religion or ideal beauty, art also aims to revisit existing narratives and express them artistically, using their characteristic formal features. Among these narratives, the Olympic myth has historically spread through many artistic forms, including painting. Presented as the “Olympic Picasso,” Roald Bradstock, a former Olympian turned artist, develops an art entirely dedicated to the ethos and myth of the Olympics, as evidenced by his work The Race against Time (2021).”
